His work combines the ancient technique of terra sigillata with a modern approach to form.

Aleksandar’s work is influenced by the place of his birth – Sremska Mitrovica, which is at the locality of the Roman city Sirmium. Sremska Mitrovica is place where archaeological layers date from 7000 years ago. His fascination with old technique called terra sigillata, which was used for luxurious roman ceramics, demonstrates his desire to achieve and to penetrate in the secrets of reshaping the matter – earth, in its multilayer significance and shapes. He finds inspiration in archeological remains, experiments, and various ways of changing and interacting with forms. He got new ideas as a product of coincidence in the process of creation - ceramic laws that must be respected are limiting and at the same time inspiring him to reach a solution, which opens the way to newness.
